Safety.

I should never be afraid,

to walk,

to talk,

to think,

to change my mind.

You were supposed to be safe.

A friend.

But now,

I’m the enemy

in a war you’re fighting with yourself.

Wake up.

There are no battle lines here.

Except for the ones you drew yourself,

with a pen out of ink

from all the other letters that you’ve sent.

Put it down.

Let it go.

There is no winner here.

We’re all a casualty of war.

For everyone who has ever felt insecure, for everyone who has ever been bullied, for everyone who has ever been made to feel terrible about themselves - TAKE BACK YOUR LIFE, YOUR BODY, AND YOUR CONFIDENCE. We’re all beautiful. Fat, skinny, tall, short, no matter sexual orientation, no matter what gender you identify with, no matter WHAT.
YOU. ARE. ABSOLUTELY. BEAUTIFUL. No one can be a better you than you.
